Get Ready For Some Pictures...

We spent the first couple weeks of April, in the warm sunny south.  The first week was spent with a bunch of friends, in the mountains and was super busy.  The kids spent the week in a VBS type of setting, and had a blast.  They came home with lots of new songs to add to our repertoire. (Oh, and not only are they new songs, but they are new songs with hand motions!)  Jared and I were able to spend some time thinking through things that we are involved in and doing some planning and preparing for the future.   The second half of our trip, we spent on vacation, at a beach!  And, what a beach it was.  The water was only about a foot deep, for yards and yards.  And that was when the tide was in.  Even little Judson could crawl out into the water safely.  There were also little creatures to collect, examine, and hunt for; starfish, hermit crabs, and other marine life that I have yet to discover the correct names for.
Yum!  Judson was always ready to offer a handful of sand to anyone who was willing.
We had to be careful, his good friend was more than willing to accept his offer.

 Mud, mud, glorious mud!
The swimming pool at our resort was being repaired, however we were able to use the swimming pool at another resort nearby.  This pool had a large kiddy pool Emma and Jacob could stand up in, and another even larger and deeper section Josiah was able to play in safely.  This one had a slide.  If you ask Josiah what his favorite part of our trip was, he will answer, unhesitatingly "the slide!".

Another favorite, the grass.  We stayed in a cottage type building with good friends.  Outside of the cottage was grass, clean grass!  The kids were able to run and run and run, barefoot.  We even went to meals barefoot.
Oh, and crawl barefoot.  Although Judson was a little unsure of it all.  Seemed to prefer the cement sidewalks.
A couple evenings we ended our day with a walk on the beach.  I don't think we have ever been in a situation where we took the entire crew for a walk on the beach at sunset. When your beds are just across the street from the beach, anything is possible!
