| Ice on the inside of our kitchen windows |
This winter has been incredibly/weirdly/strangely warm. Definitely not going to complain about it! We have been regularly hitting highs above freezing. Even with the warmer than normal weather, it is still winter. Kids are cooped up in the house more, it is a lot of work to get out the door with the layers of clothing, I don't have as much interaction with people in the community, and it is easy to get discouraged. It has been a blessing to have the kids home from local school all day, every day this past couple months. It has been fun! Homeschool is fun and flexible when we have the entire day to complete it, versus just the afternoon, we are not always rushing to eat, get dressed, and get somewhere, plus there is more time to do things, like play with legos.

This past month my brother Andrew also came for a visit. Kids LOVED having him here. He left a couple weeks ago and they are still talking about him regularly. I also got to play Bananagrams almost every single day while he was here!
