Fun in the Snow!

Well, we are snowed in once again today. We have been having fun sitting around the Christmas tree and going on adventures outside. At this point we are not quite sure yet how we are going to spend the next week, and Christmas day, so we decided to go ahead and do a bit of Christmas stuff. Josiah and Jacob opened some presents from Grammy and Papa and we had a birthday cake for Jesus. It has definitely been pretty quiet around here, especially during the Christmas season, but has been a great break for us. The Dugan's (Kelly's family) celebrated Christmas today on the coast and we spent lots of time on the phone with them as well. We look forward to being able to see all the family at some point during this next week, however are also very thankful for where we are right now. Here is Josiah with a birthday cake for Jesus.

Family picture on the deck.

Jared barbecuing hamburgers for dinner.

Jared and Josiah getting ready to slide down the hill. We had some great sledding tonight after dinner.

One more snow picture.

Notice Josiah's "bundled-up" look. He does not seem to mind being outside in the snow but does not like it on his face. We have found that the hat and hood keeps him well covered but looking pretty funny. All this cold weather is getting us ready for our big move, we have decided. The cold won't be as much of a shock when we arrive in Asia, with this cold spell we are experiencing in Oregon.
