We have been in Oregon now for nine days. Our travels here went great, had three flights with three hour layovers in between. Kids slept much of the long flight and did really well over the entire travel process. We even did it without a stroller, with kids walking. It was 25 1/2 hours from our door in Asia to Jared's parent's house, and they all did great!
Here we are at the L.A. airport, waiting to board our final flight to Portland.
We are now hanging out with family, have already gone from Jared's family, to my family, and back again. It took us about five days to get over jet lag and have everyone sleeping through the night. Thankfully we were with family and just hanging out, so not much was required of us. We have been thoroughly spoiled. Kids are meeting uncles, aunts, cousins and grandparents, many for the first time. Josiah gets to talk and talk and talk, all in English, Jacob spends hours playing with new toys and reading/listening to books, Emma has younger cousins to play 'baby' with, and Judson makes many grandmas' hearts melt with all his smiles. We are all soaking up the opportunity to visit with family and relax in a place that feels so different (and familiar for Jared and I) than our home in Asia.
