Grammy and Papa

Jared's parents, Gay and Roger, blessed us with a 3 week visit while we were down south. They arrived on the night of January 27th. Plenty of time, we thought, before Emma's arrival. (She arrived on the 26th.) It actually ended up being perfect timing. We spent the entire three weeks playing and enjoying the new addition, and their very first granddaughter, rather than wondering when she would arrive. They left for Oregon the day before we left to head home.

Josiah came home with parts of stories memorized, from all that time spent on Grammy's lap.

Gay has spent three weeks with us for each of our arrivals. It was such a blessing to have her here for Emma's first weeks too. Jared and I even had a couple nights out, and lots of evening trips across the street to get ice cream. We were sure to give her some time to soak in the presence of her first granddaughter.

Thank you so much Gay and Roger for traveling halfway around the world and to a crazy new place to be with our family. Wow, did we love spending time with you! What a blessing and encouragement for all of us.
