Take a Hand
One night, while my dad was here, we stayed late at the park and had trouble finding a taxi home. We ended up walking for about a half hour into town, before finding a taxi. During our walk, this little boy decided to join us. He readily took Jacob's hand and walked a good four or five blocks with our family, while his grandfather, talking on the phone, was riding his bike a few yards behind. After we said goodbye, made sure the boy was safely with his grandfather, and were in a taxi, Jacob and Josiah talked on and on about the little boy. They were so concerned about him being safe. That, and I think they liked having a small friend join them for a few blocks. It is funny how many times since then, this small moment has resurfaced in their memories. Reminds me of how much they are taking in, day in and day out.
