The Annual Performance

Josiah and Jacob's preschool had a performance last week. Both boys' classes had been preparing for the performance for months. (Well, maybe Josiah's longer than Jacob's.) A couple days before the performance, Josiah's teacher and I made a mutual decision that Josiah would not perform with his class. He had not been participating in the practice time at school and so was not prepared. I guess you could say that there are many things we are working through to help Josiah do well at school and this was one of those things that we decided was not worth the focus. Jacob on the other hand was ready and we went all out. He had a costume that matched his class and was so excited to join Laoshi (teacher) just before the performance. The show was held in an open area just outside the market, located between our house and the school.
Jacob's class was the first to perform. He sat with his class until they were ready to start. His beloved teacher is the one in the blue shirt. Pretty easy to spot which one is Jacob:)

Jacob was front and center, although I don't think he did even one dance move during the first half. It was okay, most of the kids just stood there and looked cute :)

We ended up leaving before the end. Kids were worn out from the noise and touching, and Jared and I were worn out from answering constant questions. I included this picture mainly to show you this great double stroller. Friends lent it to us and it has been wonderful for getting the kids to and from school each day. It is pretty bulky so we don't take it anywhere else but it sure does do the job for the 30 minute walk to and from school.
