Four Little Monkeys

One of Emma's favorite books right now is Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed. She is great at shaking her finger and saying "NO, NO, NO". Tonight at dinner we decided that Josiah, Jacob, and Emma are our three little monkeys and Josiah realized that we were not yet to five. Yet, he also quickly pointed out that we will soon have four. Our most recent big news: we are expecting another little monkey! I am about 3 months along, expecting on March 6th. This is part of the reason for the recent lack of blog posts. The pregnancy has been good but have been experiencing the typical side effects of the first trimester. Daily thankful for this new little life that Father is knitting together. Even with our very full schedule and busy lives, we often talk with joy about the blessing our family has been to us. Each of our children are so, so different and each has been a gift father has used in our lives and the lives around us. We are looking forward to this new little one joining us at the end of the winter, and to see how Father with use him/her in each of our lives.

Note: Only Father knows if there will ever be a fifth little monkey. I suggested to Josiah that Jared could be the fifth little monkey and he quickly responded with we can just have four little monkeys along with a mommy and daddy monkey. I am sure Jared would prefer Josiah's response to mine!
