Jared's parents spent three weeks with us, arrived a week before Judson's birth and were here another two weeks after. Our family had not spent time with them since Emma's birth, two years ago. What a blessing for our kids, and for us! I think I have written before, one of the most difficult things for me about living overseas is having my kids so far away from their extended family. I look forward to those times, even if they are short, when I get to share our kids with their grandparents.
Gay and Roger showed up with legos, paper dolls, squirt guns, bug catching stuff, animal cookies, and lots of other goodies to keep everyone occupied, especially during that first week waiting for Judson's birth. We spent lots of time playing outside, with countless breaks inside to get out of the heat. During their time here we also went on adventures to the aquarium, park, swimming, etc.
At the Park:
Aquarium:
Josiah was so excited to take a picture of this shark. He also came home with a real shark tooth given to him by one of the aquarium workers.

Heading back home from church:
So glad this time around we only had to say goodbye for a couple months, rather than a couple years. We will be heading to the states in June, to spend time with family and friends and one of our first stops will be at Gay and Roger's house. Yeah!! Thank you Gay and Roger for coming all this way, again! We so, so enjoyed having you here.
