Homeschooling Out of a Suitcase?

On Monday we leave the cold north and head south, first to get together with some friends, and then to go and wait for the birth of Joachim baby number 4.  With all the travel, waiting for the birth, and paperwork to complete before returning home, we expect to be gone for 2 plus months.  It has been a challenge to pack for this time, for a family of five, a new baby, and fit it all into the two suitcases we try to limit ourselves too.  On top of that, I am also trying to figure out how to plan, prepare, and bring the supplies, for six weeks worth of homeschooling.  To say the least, it has been interesting.  So far I have decided to mostly stick to the read-a-louds we can get on our e-reader and then just bring one math book, a few writing supplies, and Josiah's small science notebook.  We will pretty much just stick to that, and spend lots and lots of time playing outside and collecting bugs, frogs, and whatever else we can find.  (By far my kid's favorite way to explore the world around them!).  It should be interesting to see what actually makes its way into our two suitcases!
These pictures are from one of our Friday, science experiment days.  Josiah really, really likes science, partly because of Fridays.  Jacob and Emma are usually involved too, at least in watching.  This day we were testing the acidity of different foods.
