Friday we headed over to Washington D.C. and spent the day walking around, sightseeing, and talking to people. (Oh, and eating!) We started out near the capital building and walked to China-town. Because it was rather cold, we ended up restaurant hopping and went to three restaurants in a row. First, dim sum, then a noodle place, and finally for bubble tea. We got to eat some great food and visit. Afterwards, Josiah kept asking if we were going to eat again (I think he figured it was a new habit of ours). After lunch we took the train back to the mall and walked for a while. Finally we headed back to Union Station, picked up some fast food dinner and boarded our bus back home again. We were all pretty worn out by that point.
The day was fun, especially as a family. Josiah and Jacob did great. Jacob spent the day strapped to his mom in the carrier (well the last hour he was strapped to Jared). Josiah spent the day in the stroller, unless we rode the escalator - one of his favorite things. Josiah also was very excited about all the modes of transportation we rode on, a big bus, train, elevator, escalator, etc. Now we are spending a couple days relaxing, after a busy last few days.

Family picture. Jacob was fast asleep in the front carrier. I think he slept much of the day. I guess there was not much else for him to do since he was continually attached to one of us.
