We Are Here!

We have arrived in our new city! Well we have been here for two days, after two days of travel to get here. Our trip went so well. The boys did great, considering all the time spent sitting, waiting and moving through airports. All of our belongings made it as well. We brought lots of little wrapped presents for Josiah for the long airplane rides. We ended up not even using them all because he slept much of the time, a great thing for a busy two year old. Jacob had his own seat and we brought his car seat. This was great for mom, she was able to put him down. We even used the seat for Josiah at times to help contain him. It was quite hilarious to see the four of us moving through airports with all of our luggage. Jared had Josiah on his back in a backpack carrier, Kelly had Jacob in the front carrier, and we each pushed two carts full of our luggage. (We had 7 footlockers, two big suitcases, and 11 carry-on items.) We decided that it we would rather not travel with that much stuff at any time in the future.
We are also excited to "meet" our new city. The hotel we are staying in has an incredible view and each morning as we wake up (rather early because of the time change and jet lag we are experiencing) we sit and watch the sun rise over the river and apartments. I will be sure to include some pictures as soon as we are able to get our own internet up and running.
We have some friends here who are helping us out with getting settled. They have even been watching the boys while we go out looking at apartments, etc. It is at their house I am currently typing.
Now for our other big news... we have found a place to live! Jared is currently out making our deposit on it and picking up the keys. We will move in tomorrow morning (or maybe even some stuff tonight). Can you believe we found a place to live in 2 days? It is incredible, and wonderful for our family. It is on the 23rd floor of a large apartment complex and has the same view as our hotel we are staying in. It also furnished with a lot of the basics, so we are ready to move in. I will be sure to write more and include pictures in the near future. We have a lot of little things to take care of right now and are in such a different place, it is rather overwhelming.
Wow, has a lot happened in the past four days!
