A Six AM Walk

After arriving home from a 35 minute, 6:00 am walk the other day, I wrote down some of the things I observed. Here is my list, in no particular order.

* About 15 white cranes standing amongst the muddy grass at the edge of the river.
* At least 4 piles of dog poo I suddenly had to dodge because they were directly in my path.
* Small fishing boat in the river and a man aboard throwing out a net. It went from his arms, out into a perfect round circle and then fell evenly across the water, wow!
* 25 to 30 policemen in blue jogging uniforms, and rows of 3, accompanied by police car, apparently out for morning run.
* Man in shallow area of river emptying an about 30 foot long netted cage. On my way back, I saw him on the shore with his catch. They looked sort of like big crawdads.
* Approximately 20 men and women in silk, billowing pajamas, holding swords and slicing slowly through the air.
* Another 40 or so men and women moving hips, arms and marching to Asian style Cher music.
* Woman saying to her dog, "Look, a foreigner!"
* Gentleman standing next to a yellow cloth covered with sunglasses, lighters, etc. All for sale.
* Five women holding books and singing at top of lungs.
* Women patting belly, thighs, back, all in a very organized, and even rhythm.
* Another woman falling back against a tree, over and over and over again.
* Man yelling in long, loud spurts, at the river.
* Another gentleman with book, reading phrases loudly and strongly across the muddy weeds.
* 200 plus sets of eyes looking and following me, the strange foreigner who has suddenly found her way into their morning routine.
