Emma

A few days ago, Emma was dancing around the house saying "goo dob", "goo dob", over and over again.  Later she told me that her teacher at school always says goo dob whenever Emma does something well.  I asked if she was saying good job?  Emma said no, her teacher always says goo dob!  Great!  So my daughter, instead of learning to speak 'Asianese' at school, is learning to speak bad English.
Emma really likes school.  She likes her teachers and likes to wear pretty dresses and her hair in pig tails, because her teachers like pretty dresses and her hair in pig tails (at least that is what she tells me when she gets dressed in the morning).  She also likes to talk about the other girls in her class, how they wore their hair and what kind of shoes they had on.  Am I giving you a picture of how girly our only girl is?  Where in the world did she get it from?  A far cry from Jacob being excited about candy, and Josiah talking about the superhero books kids bring to class.  Thankful for our girly girl, and nervous at the same time as I teach her to examine her own heart and not dwell on outward appearance.
