Family of Mountain Climbers
Well not really, but if you ask Josiah he would think that title was absolutely correct. Yesterday we climbed a mountain near our home. The beginning of the trail was stone steps and in the end we were basically climbing up the rock face. An interesting feat with an almost 1 year old and almost 3 year old. We did it and have some pictures to prove it! Although, we didn't spend much time at the top. It was a very small point that went straight down on all sides. Enjoy the pictures!
We begin our trek up the mountain. Notice how green it is. I was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of ferns. Reminded me somewhat of hikes in Oregon.
Josiah spent much of the time on the way up finding things. Here he has an ant, one he was determined to keep who was determined to get away.
We all got a work-out, while Jacob slept.
Hurray! The summit! Notice the metal ring, meant to help aid in climbing up the rock.
