The Beach

I think one of our most favorite parts of our trip was the beach. In fact, after dentist appointments and some other things that came up, we only had two free mornings and we chose to spend both mornings at the beach. It was not very warm on either of the days, but none of us seemed to mind. On day one, every piece of Josiah's clothing was wet and on day two Emma and Jacob were able to boast the same. I was thankful to not have to be concerned about sunburn :). We had most all of the beach to ourselves. Jared and the kids all worked together to build a sandcastle, well Emma may have been more destructive than helpful. Emma ate more sand than I cared to keep track of and crawled 'miles'. Josiah did all he could to get in the water, Jacob did all he could to stay near everyone but stay out of the water. Emma always seemed to have one eye on the water and we never knew when she would suddenly book it directly into the waves. The best thing about it, kids could play free. There were so few rules and so few boundaries. Wonderful!!!

Our kids will be talking about this trip for a year. We made so many good memories!
