Have or Want

On Friday Jared stayed after school to play basketball. After playing he was talking with some students and practicing language. There was a young lady who said to him that she wanted to be his friend. He proceeded to pull out his phone to show her a picture of his family and while he was doing this let her know that he had a wife. Next thing he knew she was laughing, as well as all others involved in the conversation. Another student informed Jared that she didn't want to get married. Jared quickly realized that instead of saying he had a wife, he said that he wanted a wife. Ooops!! I am very thankful that Jared is so diligent in studying and also desiring to get his tones and pronunciation correct. I definitely do not want to lose my husband! Language learning has been tough. We have been having some great laughs over our bloopers, and even more because of the difficulty we have been facing.
