Warm Weather, Finally

This last week it suddenly turned warm. It is weird, I think we have been so used to it being cold. Up until last weekend we were still in long underwear and down jackets. Now we have been able to go out with light jackets and no hats. Hurray! I even ventured out one time this week by myself with all three kids, for the first time ever. So much easier for Jacob to get around, and for me to help him while holding Emma, when we don't have big coats on.
On Saturday morning Jared and I took the kids out to breakfast at our favorite coffee shop and then went and walked/played along the riverfront. There were lots of people out, and of course we got lots of attention. It was encouraging to see Josiah's responses to people, and his use of the local language. He definitely is becoming much more accustomed to life here.
Tonight we went out and played in our own complex. It was almost like everyone in our complex had been hibernating and now it is spring and they are coming out of their dens. There were lots of people visiting and catching up, and there was even the same group of ladies doing their evening exercises. We were able to visit with friends who we had not seen since last fall. The boys had a great time playing too. I sure do appreciate being a part of a community, even if it is absolutely enormous.
Here are some pictures from our time on Saturday.
